What Happened To Promise Maverick Excel Okon on 26th October, 2019 (The Day Ebube James Okwuoha will Never Forget)

Before the sad breaking news, I (Ebube James Okwuoha) was always chatting with Promise Excel about getting his birthday giveaway course and bonus which he gave me his bank  account details which I should make payment to and let him know to get my package course for him.

On that very day I contacted him for his birthday giveaway course, he was sounding very strong and was online all day. The next day I tried making the payment but my bank network was misbehaving and I made half payment of ₦1,000 Naira to complete the balance of ₦1,500 when the network becomes okay.

Promise Excel  birthday giveaway price for his course was ₦2,500 and additional ₦1,000 if you want to add another course or digital product(s), some weeks later I visit his website at www.maverickexcel.com but was redirected to an unknown website, I quickly screenshot and send him the screenshot.

The next day he saw my message and replied that his website has been hacked and he is working on it, I agree with what he said and we continue our normal discussion.

After three weeks again, I checked on his website and was still showing the same thing  but the first time other time was “Website Suspended” by his Webhosting company but not hacked and redirected to a different website.

Soon,  I send him message on Messenger and he would view but no reply from him on till 28th September, 2019 were I sent him a message and he didn’t even view it. I became worried and up till 26th October, 2019 I saw a post from Ibe Nnamdi on facebook ” Promise Excel. ” and I commented to know what was wrong and Emeka Nobis said he is no more.

What a Tragedy.

From Birthday Giveaway to DeathDay Announcement by Friends.

I have online become friends with him online but he is more than a friend and a brother to me, he has helped me in building my blogging career as a profitable business.

Promise Excel, I miss you too much.

That is my encounter with him before he passed out.

Promise Excel Motivational Quotes post:

(From his personal facebook account timeline)

I wanna leave this world knowing I made someone happy.

I wanna leave a mark so everyone will know I was here.

The hearts I have touched will be the proof that I lived.
That I made a difference, and this world will see I was here.

Inspired by Beyonce’s “I was here”

“Is it possible to live a sugarless sugar-free life?

Two years ago, I was admitted into the hospital for severe stomachache after drinking Sprite.

Since then I’ve not taken Sprite. However, I’ve been taking coke and Fanta and eating any and every sweet stuff.

About three weeks ago, I was with a friend in an eatery for a business meeting.

Out of “longer throat” I drank her Sprite.

I didn’t expect anything to happen because I had taken a bottle of Pepsi the previous day.

It wasn’t long I started feeling a slight pain. I didn’t take it seriously because I thought my mind was messing with me.

As I got home that night, the pain became more intense.

I went to the pharmacy to get some drugs to reduce the pains.

It got worse after taking the drugs.

My prayer was, “God, I don’t want to go to the hospital. I hate that place”

I’ve been admitted into the hospital twice in my life – for the same reason – stomachache.

Since drugs couldn’t work I was told to  try traditional medicines.

They suggested everything under the sun.

One suggested honey, ginger and garlic.

Another said, drink the urine of a camel (kidding 😂)

There’s nothing I didn’t drink. The one mixed with dry gin, the one mixed with water.

I didn’t understand some mixtures. I just wanted the pains to go away.

These medicines were the most bitter thing I’ve tasted in my life. You can literally smell nice… no, I mean smell the bitterness 😀😀

There’s a particular one that stopped the pain for a while after I took it. So I concentrated on that one.

After some days the pains went away.

I’ve been banned from eating or drinking anything that contains sugar.

Yesterday, I decided to eat banana since it contains natural sugar. And vooooom, the pains started again.

I quickly took my bitter medicine and I was fine.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to live a sugarless sugar-free life.

The restrictions! Ah! I can’t deal.

The last time I was admitted into the hospital my doctor assured me it won’t happen again.

But here we are again!

Is this how I’m going to miss the sweet things of life… because, stomachache!

I need a permanent solution!”

“Did you watch the viral video of a girl who got chased out of school due to nonpayment of school fees?

I’m surprised that some people find it funny.

Watching that video brought back memories.

Like I’ve been there before.

I understand the pain and shame of being chased out of school.

Walking home alone like a chick who lost the mother.

So there was this particular time I was chased out of school for nonpayment of school fees.

I went outside the school and cried bitterly.

I went home and discovered that my mum was not at home.

I went and met a particular woman who sells kerosene to us on credit and we pay her after selling it.

Luckily, she was home. I took 20 litres of kerosene from her.

It was around 12 noon. Normally, I go out to hawk by 8am when I’m not in school.

Surprisingly, I sold all the kerosene in 2 hours.

Normally, it takes hawking like 2 to 3 times to be able to finish a 20 liter of kerosene. And you have to go out as early as 8am to be able to sell whatever you carry.

That day was different. It was like a miracle. There are days when I go out very early and I still don’t make so much sales.

I was able to pay my school fees the next day from the profit I made from selling the kerosene.

The funny thing is that it was still a part payment.

Brethren, I was still owing.

And guess the school fees? It was a ridiculous 8k and I still wasn’t able to pay it at once.

Today that amount is what I make in a twinkle of an eye.

You see that small girl nobody knows what she’ll grow up to become tomorrow.

She represents the hope, the resilience, the struggle and the story of an African child.

A child that age shouldn’t be concerned about how her school fees is paid. It should be the least of her concern.

She’s one in millions of children all over Africa who are out of school.

Not many will have the opportunity to break free from poverty and chase their personal legends like a lot of us.

It is one of these that eventually turns out to be the thugs, the fraudsters, the arm robbers, the thieves and the prostitutes in our society.

Hence, do whatever it is you can legally to ensure that you help yourself financially so that you can help others too.

We can’t possibly help all the children out of school but helping one child can go a long way to change his/her life forever.

There’s nothing funny about that video. We should all cover our faces and weep.

Being born in Nigeria is a fearful and terrible thing!

What are you doing today to ensure that your child doesn’t go through the same embarrassment and shame?”
